HHealth-O-Meter 498KL digital floor scale is a new model coming in the second half of 2009 which is more affordable than the 752KL medical model.  Its specifications are more comparable to the 500KL except rather than a column, the 498KL features a remote display.  While it is capable of connecting to an EMR system via USB, there is no RS232 interface.  If you require this feature review the Health-O-Meter 349KLX and see if this is more suitable for your weighing needs.
